Fall in Love with Rocky Crest This Fall!

Updated: Sep 24

Did you know the nearby town of Bala is the cranberry capital of Ontario? Yup, that's right! If you're craving cranberries, you've come to the right place because Bala is just a 25-minute drive away, and it's home to the famous Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery, which is the oldest cranberry farm in Ontario, and the only cranberry farm in the world with its own on-site winery!

Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery

Check out their bog-to-bottle tour; it's a guided tour that lasts about 30-40 minutes where they tour you around the bog where the cranberries grow and explain how Muskoka's staple fruit is cultivated, followed by a tutored cranberry wine tasting!

Psst... The Lake Joseph Club is on the way... why not make a tee time too!? Fall golf here in Muskoka is incredible, and the Reservation's Team would be more than happy to help you make a tee time!

The cranberry craziness in Muskoka caps off with the Bala Cranberry Festival, so mark your calendar for Friday, October 18th - Sunday, October 20th because you won't want to miss it! With an estimated attendance of over half a million people over the past 35 years, it's become quite the event here in Muskoka with live entertainment, street vendors, delicious food and fun exhibits.

There's so much to see and do at Rocky Crest in the fall; explore our large network of hiking trails and maybe catch a glimpse of some wildlife, canoe or kayak the shores of Lake Joseph taking in the scenery, enjoy an evening fire overlooking the waterfront roasting marshmallows and making s'mores, play a round of golf at one of our 3 championship golf courses, enjoy a meal from one of our 3 on-site restaurants... there's so much to do, and we hope to see you soon!
